My First Visit to Tagaytay's People's Park in the Sky

Image
People's Park in the Sky in Tagaytay City Tagaytay has always been one of the destinations that I wanted to visit ever since, and just a few weeks ago I was finally able to see the place for myself. Tagaytay is a city in the province of Cavite, which is known for its amazing beautiful parks with stunning views of nature. I live in a province just a couple of hours away but I wasn't able to visit. But after a couple of failed plans and attempts, I found myself with a couple of friends of mine in one of Tagaytay's most popular parks, People's Park in the Sky . The view on the way up To be honest, there's nothing much to do in this place but what makes it amazing is the gorgeous view that would make you feel like you are on top of the world, something that you would instantly notice as soon as you arrive at the entrance. Before you can enter the premises, you are expected to pay a 30php entrance fee. And then, you can either walk your way up to the mansion...

The Next Chapter || Spoken Word Poetry

Image
This is a spoken word poetry I have made two years ago. I wrote and recorded it for a Facebook spoken poetry contest that I was lucky enough to win. It is a piece that's really close to my heart because I wrote it when I was in a very dark time and it was almost impossible to write something uplifting. It was like trying to inspire and motivate someone when you don't feel alright yourself and in this case, that someone was me as well. It might have been about failed relationships but it surprisingly helped me a lot. The main lesson of the poem is about not giving up and not letting bad experiences define your whole life and identity. It was a piece of advice I needed for myself. It was just so ironic that it came from me. This piece would surely make me remember those days and how a point of my life that was so sad and devastating would create a beautiful remembrance of what had been.

With her young age, she already fought wars including self-harm, mental eating disorders, addiction, and  bullying.  These were the things which got her to the most depressive state of her life and she bravely won it all. After treatments that s...

Letters from a Broken Heart: To the First Guy I Fell In Love With

Image
Letter  #01:  To   The   Very   First   Guy   I   Fell   In   Love   With Dear  Toby , Hi. It's been a long time since I last saw you. When was it? Three...four years ago? It was a very long time since we first met. But everything was fresh in my memory. I was young. You were young. We were new to so many things. But I was shy and you were confident. Two opposite sides of the spectrum, weren't we? But we met. And before I knew, I have fallen. It's funny reminiscing those days. Especially the first day we met. Do you still remember, Toby? One rainy afternoon, in front of our school's library, there was this small girl, with his flower dress and cardigan, waiting for the rain to stop. She had no umbrella because she didn't believe that a sky as blue and as clear as that day could actually hold a sudden storm. But it did. Not just the storm but it also made way for you to meet her suddenly. For  you  to...

13 Reasons Why I Will Still Watch '13 Reasons Why Season 2'

Image
Source 13 Reasons Why Before  13 Reasons Why   came to life as a  Netflix Series , I was first captivated by this story when I read the book a few years ago. It truly made an impact on me and how I see people and I hope it made the same impact on the people who have read it before. Maybe that was why I did watch the series because I know it would be eye-opening and I want to know if it would bring justice to the book where it was derived from. I can definitely say it did, but it also did so much more than give justice to the book. As everyone expected, it totally made it to the news, garnering different opinions not only good but also negative views and criticisms, tagging it as a bit scandalous, saying the show is glamorizing suicide which the series tried hard not to do in my opinion. But I could totally see why they may think that way. Suicide and rape are such sensitive issues and it’s quite hard not to miss a few points. But it doesn't mean we shouldn'...

Is Rarejob Philippines a Great Online Homebased Job? Tried and Tested!

Image
H ey there!  This is basically one of my earliest blogs on this site, so I decided to share something I already know; something I personally tried and tested this past couple of months. On this blog, we will be talking about one of the most popular online teaching site called  RareJob Philippines.   It was over a year ago when I decided to resign as a call center agent in the Metro and went back home to Laguna due to my mysterious health issues. As a young adult in her early twenties with limited knowledge about jobs that could fit my needs, I started searching online for options  (maybe just like what you're doing right now) . And when I say  options , I mean something with less stress, hassle, would pay fairly and of course,  LEGIT! One great option that I saw was being an  online English teacher . I have a degree in Communication so it's not totally out of my zone and it was also one of those jobs I've been considering ever since....
